Construction of a residential facility for Lebenshilfe Lemgo e.V. in Barntrup
Residential home for mentally handicapped people in Barntrup.
The residential complex is part of an existing residential concept of Lebenshilfe, here the former hotel complex used by Lebenshilfe was demolished and a modern residential home, barrier-free and handicapped accessible adapted to the natural terrain, was built.
A new home was created for 24 residents in the middle of a natural landscape on the edge of the Bega River. The living concept also includes a day structure in which the residents are accompanied with individual care.
At this location there is already a residential complex and an extensive garden, which is filled with life by the residents. After the garden has been redesigned by BITS & BEITS, it will provide an optimal setting for summer parties and other events with its barrier-free access and seating. The utilization concept also serves the dialog with the residents of the town of Barntrup.
