Retail park, Franz Hegemann Straße, Warstein

A site steeped in history is the site of the former iron smelting works in Warstein, where iron was processed as early as 1739 and production took place at the site for 250 years. Due to restructuring in the metal industry, the property had to be sold and the old substance demolished. In 1982, large-scale retail was settled on the property, first as a hypermarket, later a conversion into a retail park took place, which was completely revitalized in 2019.

The existing retail center at the entrance to the downtown area of the town of Warstein received an overall structure, by planning 4 retail units for the trade under inclusion of already existing store units.

The existing roof and wall structure was completely demolished and rebuilt according to energy and design aspects, while the supporting structure and floor slab were retained.

The redesigned façade on the parking lot side sets accents with a new canopy as a steel and glass construction as well as newly designed entrances to the store units.
